Sound tack
Our main sound was he scary music behind and we had to create a story based on it. My team mates and I thought it was best if we left it as a cliffhanger and not add to many aspects to it as it would get too long. It also makes it more interesting as the people who hear the track can make their own endings. The story is based around three teenage kids who decide to enter a haunted house during halloween. One of their friends are pulled inside by a person and their is a evil laugh. The character says "what have you got for me to eat today?" and it ends there. This is suppose to have a creepy feel and mysterious which is portrayed by the cliff hanger.

Jack and Jill Audio
In this assignment we used various techniques such as a soundscape and voice modulation. Claudio was Jack and I was Jill. Marcos was the narrator and Malavika was in charge of the sounds. In the beginning and end Malavika was also Jack and Jill's mother. We used various sounds such as birds tweeting, ducks calling in the background to give the feeling that Jack and Jill were outside. We also used a table which made the song effects of people walking or running. For the bird calls and quacks of the ducks we used an app on Malavika's phone.

Conflict Assignment
What was the context of your scene? What was it about and what characters did you involve?
Our play was about the increasing amount of robberies in our society. Even kids shoplift even though the technology has prevents it. It shows the lack of values in the society and also the increasing about of crime rates around the world. My character was the one who saw the thief shoplifting and was the eye-witness of the crime committed. In the end of the play I was also the cop who took the shoplifters to the police station.
Describe one drama technique (narration, thought-tracking, split-stage, freeze frame etc) that your group used and give an example of how you used it.
We used thought-tracking to show what was the thief thinking before we saw the camera footage and in the end of the play where all the characters showed what they thought about the robbery and their opinions about it. Thought-tracking is when everyone in the play freezes and the characters shared their thoughts a out loud.
Describe how you used your voice (include an example of your dialogue) and body language to show your character.
My character was just generally confused about what was happened in the shop at first but he had seen the thief pt something in the pocket and it was just suspicious. That is why she says 'Did anyone see that?'. Later on she realises that she was right and tells the shopkeeper the she did see him take something from the shop. She is still pretty confused when they start arguing about pointless things and tells them stop and check the security camera. In the end I also am the police who acts like it is nothing new to her ' kids these days...'.

An Argument Sketch
In this skit we had to present a conflict in a comedic way, instead of serious. We were given a script and we had to interpret and try to make it even more hilarious. In our script we presented Ali an an arabic guy who wants to have a course for and argument......
He goes to the reception |
We see Ali having a very heated argument |
And someone seems to have fallen |

Conflict at home advert
Reflection
Domestic violence is a very touchy topic and is not spoken about that much. This is because is is mostly done by people who are dear to us. People mostly don't talk about is because it happens behind the walls of the home and no one know about it.
We created a video which portrayed domestic violence at home. Our advert showed the effects of domestic violence on children and its effects in school. We where going to start with the brother abusing the little brother and sister. The brother makes his siblings do all his homework and he despite his mothers attempts to stop him he doesn't..... but it doesn't work out.
The kids return after a long day in school and create a mess in the house. The mother is secretly working and trying to save money to run away. She was late because of work and when she returned home is tired and exhausted. She try to tell the kids to clean up the house and starts to prepare dinner when the father arrives at home. He has had a long day at work and is really angry he starts hitting the mother and the elder sibling tries to stop him. The other kid runs away and the scene freezes.
I learnt about the various ways in which we can present the horror of domestic violence and try and convince an audience to contribute to the cause and save people who go through under a minute or so.

We thought that instead of the brother we can put a farther in his place. Although a brother would be unusual having the farther abuse the family would have a greater impact.
So we decided that Ali will play as the father and Emiliya as the Mother. The kids were played by Shahin and me. Our tagline was "Nobody asked for this".
